I don’t think he’s paying any attention in the first place, and if he was, his answer would be as self serving and equivocating as you are able to imagine.
Honestly I am not convinced he is able to have a conversation about anything really. In the moment he’s running this idiotic narration about an inner critic able to burst into our dimension, you see, and all sorts of other implied nonsense, instead of what we are actually talking about. Namely, if a sense of psychological harmony is to persist we must have a way of addressing inner voices like me that yields some real value. But does he know that? Well, right now he’s just making jokes, so there’s your answer.

The thought behind my exhortation to not think about any of that just yet is a hope that state level legislators and law enforcement waste no more time adapting, amending, or altering how they do what they do to accommodate an apoplectic pissant. Also, sorry for the missed chance at very pretentious alliteration just there…but calling him an asshole does a disservice to assholes.
